2025-26 Japan
Trip number six to Japan and one that was relatively hastily organised. The trip itself was based in Kyoto & Tokyo but revolved around trying to access areas that I have never ventured to before. Visiting over the New Year timeframe may be problematic in itself but as the old saying goes, you’ll never ever know if you never ever go.
2025 Japan
Trip number five to the Land of the Rising Sun. It has been a pretty hectic year so to return to my favourite country for a tick over 3 weeks is a pleasure. I will be visiting some old favourites along with some new destinations. While I don’t want to wish my trip away, the highlight might. But I suppose, there may be something laying in wait.
2024 Europe
A short dash rather than a deep dive into what Europe has to offer. This sojourn is part of a school trip to Italy, Germany and France. It will a case of revisiting some previously travelled to sites and seeing a few new ones. Rome, Naples, Nuremberg, Amiens & Paris await so let the culture engulf me and the experiences unfold.
2023-24 Japan & Europe
A trip through the snow and winter in both Europe & Japan. What will make it special is that it is Matthew’s first trip abroad. Now to brave the cold and occassional snow flurries and enjoy. Countries that this trip touch on will be Poland, Austria (Vienna) and Germany before heading back to my start point, Japan.
2022-23 Europe
France, London, Germany and a brief stopover in Belgium took in new sights and a few that were worth revisiting. The weather was on the whole, good and the experience was brilliant. While this time of year is a slight change from the climate in Sydney, the lack of tourists certainly make up for it.

This page will provide links to trips from 2013 on. The standard of presentation has improved but it definitely beats memories being packed away in boxes gathering dust. Again, it may provide an idea or two.
